Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement for
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services. The interpreter
will interpret between English and ASL for one deaf computer specialist
at the Washington Navy Yard. Services will be provided for eight (8)
hours every Tuesday and Thursday, and for four (4) hours every
Wednesday and Friday during the period from 1 October 1997 through 30
September 1998. Work involved interpretation for occasional meetings
and contact with customers. If more than two hours of continuous
interpretation is required, the contractor shall provide an additional
interpreter. The Government may require the interpreter to provide
training for beginning ASL students. The evaluation process will
include an interview for all offerors with the greatest likelihood of
receiving award. Award will be made to the offeror which provides the
best overall value to the Government. The Request-for-Quotation (RFQ)
will be issued 11 September 1997 and the quote will be due 17 September
1997. Offerors must be available for an interview on either 23 and 24
September 1997. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which
