T -- PRINTING SOL 52TANS710112 DUE 091197 POC Anita Tolliver, #703/487-4720 The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) has a requirement for printing 7,000 copies of a 514 text page report. The contractor shall print the report head to head from a camera ready copy provided by NTIS. The finished size shall be 8-1/2" x 11". The contractor shall print the text on 50 pounds uniform shade white offset paper provided by the contractor. The contractor shall print the report to have a self cover. The contractor shall provide and print sets of 15 laminated 2" rounded tips and bind tabs in tiers of five, 110 white index with black ink (printed on one side; not inserted). The contractor shall drill the text and tabs with three 3/8" diameter holes, center on the left side and spaced 4-1/4" center to center. Binders are not required. The contractor shall package the report so that one text plus one set of tabs are shrink-wrapped together. Offers shall include the following Contract Line Item Number (CLIN), 0001 is 7,000 each -- -514 text page report, tabs and shrink-wrapped. Quotes shall include cost of all required materials; operations; assembly; and delivery, FOB Destination; to NTIS in Springfield, Virginia. The completed report shall be delivered to NTIS by October 7. The contractor shall provide to NTIS blue lines. The blue lines shall be sent to Sterling Cook in Room 1021B/S for review at NTIS, 5285 Port Royal Road, Springfield, Virginia 22151. The blue lines shall be sent via Federal Express by the contractor to Sterling Cook and NTIS will return them via Federal Express so that the entire review process shall take five business days meaning on the fifth business day the proofs will arrive back to the contractor. The contractor is responsible for the cost of shipping the blue lines to NTIS via Federal Express and NTIS is responsible for the cost of returning them to the contractor via Federal Express. This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation #52TANS710112 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This action is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-1. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 2752, with a size standard of 500 employees. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and their capability to print the requirement as specified. Offers shall include literature or other documentation describing their capabilities and equipment to print the requirement as specified above.
