SYNOPSIS@PHIL.FISC.NAVY.MIL. FISC Norfolk Det. Phila. intends to
solicit, on an unrestricted basis, for the provision of Curriculum
Development/Training Data products and services for the Naval Education
and Training Professional Development and Technology Center (NETPDTC).
The training programs/projects supported include but are not limited
to the Shipboard Training Enhancement Program (STEP), Navy rating
consolidations, "A" and "C" school conversions to Interactive
Multimedia Instruction (IMI), the conversion of existing curricula to
IMI, and conversions and revisions to other existing curricula/programs
as required by the Navy/DoD. In addition to courseware development and
revision, various training support services may be required. Training
Media includes Print and related Instructional Visual Aids, IMI
(encompassing Interactive Courseware and Computer Based Training),
Videotape, Interactive Electronic Technical and Training Manuals,
Electronic Classroom/Automated Electronic Classroom, video teletraining
and training distributed over Intranets and Internets. The Contractor
shall also provide services in support of the application of emerging
technologies to future Navy/DoD educational and training needs. It is
anticipated that the contractor shall be required to provide support
and personnel services in support of training requirements. The
resultant contract shall be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity
(IDIQ) Multiple Award Delivery Order contract, with individual orders
being independently competed. It is anticipated that these delivery
orders shall be either fixed price or cost plus fixed fee depending
upon the nature and scope of each specified deliverable. A contract
consisting of one base year, with three, one year options is
anticipated, with a projected award date of 31 December 1997. The
solicitation shall require the submission of cost/price and technical
proposals. The SIC Code is 8299 the size standard $3.5M. All
