This is an acquisition of commercial items under FAR Part 12. The
Coast Guard intends on purchasing a 3-ton capacity forklift with the
following salient features: Diesel engine, automatic transmission,
power steering, fork side shift option, two headlights, rear stop and
turn signal, reverse alarm, one fire extinguisher, two stage full free
lift mast, collapsed height not to exceed 100 inches, maximum fork
height not less than 150 inches, fork length not less than 42 inches,
load backrest not less than 42 inches, drive and steering tires shall
be pneumatic. Deliver forklift to USCG Marianas Section, Marianas,
Guam. All work shall be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt
of award. This is a small business set-aside under SIC Code 3537. The
size standard is 750 employees. Only responsible sources who are able
to provide the parts and services from Guam area shall be considered.
Offers will be evaluated on how well the product meets the Government
requirements, price, and past performance. Only faxed or written
requests for bid packages received directly from the requestor are
acceptable. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise: The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
