BARIATTI (202) 782-1103 (Site Code DADA15) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a Commercial Item prepared in accordance with the Format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are requested in response to this notice. A written solicitation will not be issued. The Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Sensormatic Electronics for the delivery & installation of a fully operational Asset Protection System for 15 exit doors in Bldg. 2, (Heaton Pavilion). The system must be fully compatible with existing Govt.-owned Sensormatic AC502 controller located in Bldg. #12. The contractor shall comply with WRAMC Drawing # 97-106 (available upon request); NFPA 70 (1993)- National Electrical Code & the National Electrical Safety Code -- ANSI C2-1987. At the designated 15 entrance/exit doors in Bldg. #2, the Contractor shall furnish & install 15 pedestal antennas, associated door hardware & control devices; 4 Pro Max II wall mount sensor panels; 17 Ultra Max 3 tone Audible Alarms; 18 ea delayed egress electro-magnetic door locks; 3 processor boards w/16 point input; 17 16"X12" cabinets for the audible alarm; 8 110v-240 volt power supplies; 17 reset switches; one 24 volt double pole latching relay; one VCR w/time lapse super VHS format event driven; one digital 16 channel multiplexor w/built in alarms; 800 LF of 18/4 shieldid plenum cable; 8000 LF of 18/2 shielded plenum cable; 8000 LF of 22/2 twisted pair individually shielded cable; 8000 LF of 22/2 shielded cable; 1000 LF of 3/4" EMF conduit; 5000 ea ultra Max Mini hard tads. All wiring shall be installed in electric metallic tubing; minimum size conduit is 3/4". Contractor is required to set-up and install the entire system to include all necessary connections/interfaces to Govt.-owned equipment. Contractor shall furnish a minimum of 1 set of manuals which describe the operation & maintenance of all equipment delivered under this contract. All electrical outlets installed shall be flush mounted. Contractor shall also be required to repaint all penetrations of plaster and painted surfaces and all raceways to match the existing finish & color. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract and must be quoted on an FOB Destination basis. This solicitation document incorporates applicable provisions & clauses that are in effect thru FAC 90-46. Performance period for this project is established at 90 days from the date of contract award. Offerors must submit information regarding their standard commercial warranty for the products and services offered herein.
