66 -- IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY AUTOMATIC STAINER SOL 674-97-49 DUE 091297 POC Bonnie McQuiston 254-771-4575 This is a notice of anticipated sole source with Dako Corporation for the Autostainer Universal Staining System as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(b)(4). The Dako equipment is an automated horizontal slide processng system. It is compatible with currently available reagents for the staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues, frozen sections, cytospins, cell smears and fine needle aspirates. This unit has certain breast markers for ER/RP, estrogen and progesterone receptors. The system provides a bridge between immunohistochemistry stain and fluorescentimetry. No solicitation package will be issued; however, all interested sources may identify their product by submitting pricing data and an accurate description of the equipment offered, including make and model numbers. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no favorable responses are received by close of business 9/12/97, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source. Vendor must be willing to bear all transportation costs for a testing period of proposed equipment. The proposal shall be signed by an individual authorized to bind the firm to the contractual requirements. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (REP).
