22310-3398 A -- MODIFICATION TO NUCLEAR PLANNING SYSTEM TARGET DATA FEED SOL
DNA001-96-C-0003 POC Donyale DeShazo, Negotiator, (703) 325-0847,
Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The Defense Special
Weapons Agency (DSWA) has a requirement to modify the Nuclear Planning
System Target Data Feed (NPS TDF) program in response to changes in the
Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) development of the Modernized
Integrated Data Base (MIDB). The modification changes DIA database
references to MIDB, extends the period of performance to March 1999,
changes the Contract Data Report List (CDRL), provides incremental
software deliveries, and add on-site technical support for Exercise
ABLE ALLY 97. DSWA believes that Science Applications International
Corporation (SAIC), the incumbent contractor for the NPS TDF under DSWA
contract DNA001-96-C-0003, is the only responsible source having the
resources and experience to accomplish this work within the required
timelines. DSWA intends to issue a change order to the contract. Any
firm desiring consideration must fully identify their capability to
perform this effort. See Note 22 (substitute 15 day proposal receipt
period in lieu of 45 day period).Information on DSWA solicitations,
already released, can be obtained by calling the DSWA Hotline at (703)
325-1173. As of 31 May 96, Acquisition Management has added
"Procurement Opportunities" to the DSWA Home Page available on the
World Wide Web. Information will include this synopsis and more. Please
check us out at www.dswa.mil. Reference Synopsis No. 97-123 (0248) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0001 19970910\A-0001.SOL)
