Dimino, Chairman, A/E Evaluation Board The contract is for multiple awards in the States of New York and New Jersey for Architect/Engineer (A/E) Services in the NY Facilities Service Office Area. The contract is for a guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000.00 for one year, with individual work orders being issued. Work orders will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders will normally range from under $5,000.00 to about $100,000.00 for any one but cannot exceed a maximum work order of $250,000.00. There are no annual limits. The contract may be renewed for four (4) one year periods providing the total contract amount does not exceed $2,500,000.00. The NY Facilities Service Office is inviting Architectural/Engineering Firms with complete CAD/D capability, Auto Cad/D, and can adapt and/or have experience in designs, details, etc. from the U.S. Postal Service, Building Design Standards, 1997 edition, CD with a minimum of three positions. Revised editions of the CD may be introduced at any time during the contract period. Firms that have the qualification to perform the services described are invited to submit a completed SF 255, Architect/Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project; a completed SF 254, Architect/Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire; and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, postmarked no later than October 10, 1997. The selection will be conducted by using both the submitted SF 255 and SF 254. Interested firms with more than one office must indicated on their SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference: 1) Within 25 miles of Hoboken, New Jersey; 2) Firms with offices and staffs in the NY Facilities Service Office-Area of Responsibility; 3) All other firms. Firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local geographic area or they have a local branchoffice and all the architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office. The Architect/Engineering firm must have a minimum of five years experience as a registered architectural firm and the consultants must be in the preferred area. The minimum acceptable Architectural/Engineering complement for the prime firm, or office, and its consultants is: 3 Architects in the prime firm, and for the consultants is 2 Civil Engineers, 2 Electrical Engineers, 2 Environmental Engineers, 2 Mechanical Engineers, 2 Structural Engineers and experience in CAD Design. The contract contains a requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000.00 of errors and omissions per claim. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of contract for this project.
