C -- A/E INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR SITE/BUILDING SURVEYS, PREPARATION OF DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS & COST ESTIMATES, SERVICES DURING SOLICITATION AND CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES FOR COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT OF CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR NEW AND R&A PROJECTS IN LONG IS/NY/TRIBORO/WESTCHES SOL 332495-97-A-0132 DUE 101097 POC Lori E. Dimino, Chairman, A/E Evaluation Board The contract is for Architect/Engineer (A/E) Services in New York (covering Long Island, New York, Triboro and Westchester Postal Districts)of the NY Facilities Service Office Area. The contract is for a guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000.00 for one year, with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $100,000.00 and the total dollar amount of work orders issued cannot exceed $500,000.00 for each 12-month contract period. The contract may be renewed for four (4) one year periods providing the total contract amount does not exceed $2,500,000.00. The U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to select four or more firms. The A/E firm shall be architecturally-oriented, fully CAD/D capable to use U.S. Postal Service 1997 Building Design Standards on CD on AutoCad files, with in-house Mechanical/Electrical/Structural capabilities or have consultants with those disciplines. Firms will be considered in each instance in the following order of preference: 1) Local (within the area described above); 2) all others. To the fullest extent, the U.S. Postal Service welcomes the participation of women and/or minority-owned/operated A/E firms. Firms that have the qualification to perform the services described are invited to submit a completed SF 255, Architect/Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project; a completed SF 254, Architect/Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire; and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, postmarked no later than October 10, 1997. The selection will be conducted by using both the submitted SF 255 and SF 254. Interested firms with more than one office must indicated on their SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local geographic area or they have a local branch office and all the architectural and mechanical electrical design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office. There is no restriction on the geographic location of consultants. The contract contains a requirement for evidence of current errors and omissions insurance. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of contract for this project.
