Competition Limited to Eligible 8(a) Concerns. The U.S. Army Medical
Command, Central Contracting Office has a requirement for nonpersonal
Occupational Health (OH) Services in support of the Federal
Occupational Health (FOH) Program. The FOH program is a part of the US
Department of Health and Human Services which provides OH services and
consultation, and stimulates the development of improved OH and safety
programs throughout the Federal Government. The FOH program assists
Federal managers to establish OH care services for federal employees,
comply with mandated and voluntary OH standards, monitor environmental
hazards for special classes of employees, counsel employees at
physical or emotional risk from alcoholism, drug abuse, stress, or
other job- related factors, maintain a drug-free workplace, and promote
overall federal employee health and physical fitness. Services are
required at the FOH Centers and FOH Wellness/Fitness Centers throughout
Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois,
Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Occupational Health Providers
(OHP) required for the FOH Centers may include but not limited to OH
Nurse Coordinators, OH Nurse Associate registered nurses and licensed
vocational nurses, Physicians, Occupational Medicine Physicians, Board
Certified Physicians (Occupational Medicine/Internal Medicine/Family
Practice), Audiometric Technicians, Physician Assistants, Adult
Registered Nurse Practitioners and Medical Administrative Support
personnel. OH Providers required for the FOH Wellness/Fitness Centers
may include but not limited to Wellness/Fitness Coordinators,
Wellness/Fitness Associates, Exercise Leaders, Exercise Physiologist,
Wellness/Fitness Trainer, Wellness/Fitness Specialist and Registered
Dieticians. The tentative issue date of Solicitation Number
DADA10-98-R-0002 is 29 Sep 97 and the tentative closing date is 4 Nov
97. The contract period of performance is estimated to be for a base
period of 1 Apr 98 through 30 Sep 98 with four 1-year options. Award
must be made NLT 1 Feb 98 to allow for a 60-day start-up period. An
indefinite quantity contract is anticipated as a result of this
solicitation. This requirement is being offered for competition limited
to eligible 8(a) concerns. The applicable Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code is 8099. Interested 8(a) firms are encouraged
to request a copy of Solicitation DADA10-98-R-0002 as expeditiously as
possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice
upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program.
Requests for Solicitation DADA10-98-R-0002 must be in writing using
company letterhead. All responsible 8(a) firms may submit an offer
