This solicitation is for the consolidated medical transcription needs of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities in VISN 20, and Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Treatment Facilities located in Region 11. Authorized users are all VA and DoD facilities within these geographical units; however, only eleven facilities (located in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska) currently require services undert this contract, for a total of approximately 8 million lines per year. The contract period is for the base year plus four option years. Additional information regarding dictation reports and hardware systems can be found in the solicitation package. The solicitation package will be available on or about September 19, 1997 and a pre-proposal conference has been scheduled for October 8, 1997 at 10:00am in Room 111 of building 18, VA Puget Sound Health Care System, 1660 S.
