COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 10,1997 PSA#1927B -- UHF MILSATCOM DEMAND ASSIGNMENT MULTIPLE ACCESS (DAMA) CONTROL
SYSTEM STANDARD -- MIL-STD-188-185 It is proposed to make a change to
the Department of Defense Interface Standard identified as
MIL-STD-188-185, dated 29 May 96, and titled "Interoperability of UHF
MILSATCOM DAMA Control System". The proposed change is to paragraph
5.4.3.4.1 which is titled "TDMA frame alignment". The proposed change
recommends that the TDMA frame alignment for all 25-kHz DAMA channels
on all satellites in a given coverage area be changed from "...within
52 microseconds" to "...within 104 microseconds". Comments to the
proposed change should be addressed to Mr. Sam George by 1 October
1997. MIL-STD-188-185 is available from Defense Printing Service (DPS).
