Stiens, 813-972-7655 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 673-43-98 applies and is issued as a invitation for bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-1. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 4513 and the business size standard is 1,500 employees. Provide all supervision, labor and material to provide courier service from VA Outpatient Clinic, 5201 Raymond Street, Receiving Bldg 501, Orlando, Florida 32803 and VA Brevard Outpatient Clinic, located on the 2nd floor, Suite # 235, Palm Bay Community Hospital, 1421 Malabar Road, NE., Palm Bay, Florida 32907-2599. Service to originate and terminate at the VA Outpatient Clinic, 5201 Raymond Street, Receiving Bldg 501, Orlando, FL 32803. Service shall be provided daily Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays for the period October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. The Government may extend the term of this contract for one (1) optional additional year, duration not to exceed September 30, 1999. QUALIFICATIONS: Bids will be considered only from bidders who are regularly established in the business called for and who financially responsible and have the necessary equipment and personnel to furnish service in the volume required for all the items under this contract. Successful bidder shall meet all requirements of Federal, State, County, or City codes regarding operations of this type of service. Pricing shall be submitted for Daily Rate based on an estimated 250 services per year. TOTAL AMOUNT FOR FY-98. Pricing shall also be submitted for option year I (10/1/98 -- 9/30/99). The government intends to make a single award to the responsible bidder whose bid conforming to the invitation for bids, will be most advantageous to the government considering price and price related factors.
