In the original synopsis the DUE DATE is listed as 09/16/97 and the
amendment now has the date of 09/15/97. The amendment as such was
principally referring to the quantity and the type of contract and was
not referring to a modification in the due date. RESPONSE: The DUE
DATE is 09/16/97. QUESTION: Item D in the General Specifications of
Armor Systems refers to FENDERWALLS and Item G Protection Levels,
sub-item 1 Front Wheels -- are these to be assumed that these are one
in the same? RESPONSE: Sub Item 1 is corrected to read FRONT WHEEL
WELLS. FENDERWALLS is corrected to read FENDERWELLS in this
solicitation. QUESTION: Your reference to the FAR clauses in particular
FAR 52.212-3, do you supply a separate form for us to complete or is
photocopying the clause from the FAR manual sufficient for these
purposes? RESPONSE: The certifications required per FAR 52.212-3 are
available from the Contracting Officer upon your request or you may
photocopy from the FAR providing you have an up to date (through FAC
46) FAR. QUESTION: Are the entire Ford Expeditions to be armored?
RESPONSE: No. The specific parts to be armored on the vehicles are
specifically mentioned in the original synopsis. QUESTION: Could you
please elaborate more on the armored partitions and what you are
looking for? RESPONSE: The armored partitions are specifically defined
in the original synopsis. We are looking for the requirement as
defined in the original synopsis. QUESTION: Could you elaborate more on
the interchangeable armor and its specs? RESPONSE: All the parts
required are to be interchangeable, meaning removable to be used on
other vehicles of the same make and model. For example: The door panel
can be removed from one vehicle and installed in another vehicle of
the same make and model. All other terms and conditions remain
