This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annoucement constitutes the only Request For Quotation that will be issued; quotations are being requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. This request is issued under RFQ DACW62-97-Q-0044. The Nashville District Corps of Engineers intends to purchase one commercially available off-th-shelf Rip-Rap Grapple Bucket. Specifications are: 2.0 cubic yard capacity; 2-line; 7-tine; sheaved for 1" rope; steel to be 70,000 to 100,000 psi minimum yield. The Government will make a firm, fixed price award resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Delivery is FOB Destination at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Physical Support Branch, Plant Section, (Stephen Moneymaker), 1180 Cinder Road, Old Hickory, TN 37138-3904. Delivery is required within 30 days after date of award. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 45, Jan 2, 1997.
