The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure Interim Support Materials needed in support of the Air Data Test Set, Part Number ADTS405-8325. It is intended to solicit and negotiate with Druck Incorporated, 4 Dunham Drive, New Fairfield, CT under the authority of FAR 6.302, and an approved Justification and Approval. Druck, Incorporated is considered the only supplier capable of providing these Interim Support Materials at this time. The items to be procured are commercial off the shelf items which are modified for the specific part number application, and will be solicited utilizing simplified procedures under subpart 13.6, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A solicitation will be released in 9 days from date of publication of this notice, with response due within 6 days from solicitation issue. Due to the modifications required to the off the shelf items, and since deliveries of the items must begin in January 1998, Druck, Inc. is the only supplier capable of providing the items to fully meet the requirements. The Government does not have technical data sufficient to compete the requirements, specifically descriptions of the modifications required to the off the shelf components, and quality assurance requirements for the materials. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received with 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
