NSN 7030 -- the Air Force intends to purchase on-going hardware maintenance for the CONVEX 4620 High Performance Parallel Processing Supercomputer System. A contract shall be issued to Hewlett Packard, 7887 Washington Village, Dayton, OH 45459. All responses received from responsible sources on or before 15 days from this publication will be fully considered. No telephone or electronic mail requests will be accepted. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requester are acceptable. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Air Force not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No award will be made solely on basis of responses received. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation.
