G -- INFORMATION SYSTEM APPLICATION SOFTWARE (SACWIS) FOR STATE OF GA SOL 401-008-597238 POC David M. Candler 404-656-6602 Public Notice to Vendors currently providing application software, integration and implementation services for multiple state Social Services Information Systems. The State of Georgia is seeking proven Social Services Information System application software, specifically a Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS). The SACWIS software must satisfy all federally mandated SACWIS requirements, Adoption and Foster Care Information System (AFCARS) requirements, National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS) requirements and meet Georgia's unique requirements. In addition to these requirements, Georgia's SACWIS must also meet technical requirements. The application environment requirements include: Centralized, DB2 data base; GUI presentation for those application users who received equipment in Phase Two; CICS 3270 presentation for an additional four thousand users with either dumb or smart terminals for inquiry only; and, On-line interface with Georgia DHR/DFCS Client Registration System (CRS) through its CICS 3270 screens for adding and modifying clients. Georgia's SACWIS project is FACETS -- Family and Children Electronic Tracking System. A multi-state standard for Federal and State requirements will afford the State of Georgia the reliability and economy desired. The phases of the project are phase one, modification of the development approach for the Social Services Information System. Phase two was equipment procurement and installation. State of Georgia FACETS System has a minimum of 3000 workstations and laser printers and 205 servers. Competition for Phases One and Two are completed. To be competitively acquired are: Phase Three, acquisition of the application software (to include transfer and any required development or modification) and implementation of the system and phase four, Help Desk Staffing and Services. If the software development company does not offer integration services, a competitive acquisition for integration services may also be sought. State of Georgia has reviewed existing application software in use by several state systems (Indiana and New Mexico). If you would like your software/system currently in use reviewed, please write or FAX David M. Candler, Manager, State of Georgia Purchasing Office, 200 Piedmont Avenue, SE, Suite 1308 West, Atlanta, Georgia 30334-9010 FAX 404-657-4528 or Internet: "dmcandle@doas.state.ga.us", and state name of application software, manufacturer and State(s) currently using and Company and State Government point(s)of contact.
