53 -- REQUEST FOR INDUSTRY COMMENT ON REPLACEMENT OF THE HU-25 FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT BOLT P/N 925-207 POC Point of Contact -- Contact U.S. Coast Guard Aircraft Repair and Supply Center, Product Development Branch, Engineering Division, Elizabeth City, NC 27909-5001. The Coast Guard is seeking information from potential sources who can manufacture a replacement forward engine mount bolt to be used for its current fleet of 24 operational HU-25 aircraft. The required bolt is similar to NAS-625 in design and is coded flight critical with an annual usage of 100 each. A detailed drawing can be obtained by contacting Mr. J. J. Tirak at (919) 335-6877 or FAX (919) 338-8777. Upon identification of potential sources, a sample lot of 4 each will be requested. This sample is required for testing by the Coast Guard to determine if the replacement item meets the requirements of our drawing. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The purpose of this synopsis is to determine possible manufacturing sources and to reduce costs to the Coast Guard. Organizations having the required expertise, capabilities, and an acceptable quality system are invited to submit complete information packages. Comments do not constitute a proposal: rather, will be considered as an open exchange of capabilities and ideas. The information contained therein shall pertain to this synopsis only. The Government does not intend to pay for the information received. Any interested organizations must submit their data in writing within 30 days of this announcement to Mr. J. J.
