Steel Fence Posts Specifications: Steel fence posts, 5'6" (+1") in length, painted all green (no white or silver tops), "T" bar type with rounded knobs spaced 2.0" (+.20") apart along the length of the post. Steel posts shall be manufactured from wrought, rail, or new billet steel and shall weigh a minimum of 1.33 pounds per linear foot exclusive of the anchor plate. Anchor plate shall weigh a minimum of 0.67 pounds, shall be a minimum of 18 square inches in area, and shall be welded or riveted securely to the post so the at the top of the plate wings are 16" (+1.5") from the bottom of the post. Steel posts shall be in accordance with ASTM Specification A702-89. Posts shall be packaged in bundles of five each with 40 bundles banded together on skids. Steel clip-wire fasteners shall be designed for use with specified post. Punched tabs for fastening wires will not be accepted. Fasteners shall be bagged in packages of 100 each. Contractor shall give 48 hours notice before delivery. Delivery will be accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm except on holidays. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ), number 1422D910Q970027. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The Contract line item number is: Item 1, Steel Fence Posts, 5 ", 1.33 lb/ft, painted all green (no white or silver tops), includes 4 clips (wire fasteners) per post, 14,000 Each. Posts shall be packaged in bundles of five each with 40 bundles banded together on skids. The required delivery date is November 13, 1997. The provision at 52.212.1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial is applicable. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable, and the following shall be included in paragraph (a) of that provision. Quotes will be evaluated on price, and past performance. Past performance will be based on the Contracting Officer's knowledge, contacting provided references, and other reasonable sources. Price is estimated at less than $100,000. Selection will be made of the offer that is most advantageous to the Government. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision as 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer.
