The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a sole source requirement for the production of the following Rockwell International Receiver-Transmitters (RT's), Controllers and Mounts which make up the ARC-182 family. These units include, but are not limited to: RT-1250A/ARC, RT-1324A/ARC, RT-1360A/ARC, RT-1498/ARC, C-10319A/ARC, C-10319B/ARC, C-12109/ARC, C-10776A/ARC, MT-4934/ARC, and MT-4935/ARC. Estimated quantities for each of these items range from ten to twenty units per year with a delivery schedule of eight months after placement of each order. Delivery shall be made to various locations throughout the continental United States as well as FMS customers. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy the agency requirements. Rockwell International, Collins Avionics & Communications Division is the sole designer, developer and currently the only qualified manufacturer of the AN/ARC-182(V) Radio Transmitter, Controllers and Mounts and as such has the requisite knowledge to fulfill the requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with Rockwell International, Collins Avionics & Communications Division, 350 Collins Road N.E., Cedar Rapids, IA 52498. It is anticipated that a requirements type production contract, with provisions for firm fixed price delivery orders, shall be awarded for a base period of one year, with four one year options.
