Regina Jennings, Contract Officer The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to award a sole source contract to IBM for proprietary software. The purchase of SoftwareXcel Installation Express (SIE) services will be used to install OS390 IBM operating system on IBM 9021-942 CPU in DS/S and on IBM 9021-832 CPU in PM/S. Vendors who feel that they can provide this service and proprietary software program should submit a capability statement that demonstrates a bonafide ability to meet the Government's requirements and illustrates it is advantageous to consider other sources. If no affirmative written documentation, technical specifications and pricing are received within five (5) working days of this synopsis, an order will be placed with IBM. This synopsis of intent to place an order with IBM shall not be considered a solicitation document. An order will not be made on the basis of any response to this notice.
