Modified Mir Defibrillator and a Mir Crew Medical Restraint System
(CMRS) with associated Hardware from KRUG Life Sciences Inc. KRUG Life
Sciences is currently under contract to design, develop, test,
evaluate, and integrate three flight and three training units each for
the International Space Station (ISS) defibrillator and CMRS. KRUG has
also developed, delivered, and integrated three flight and three
training units each for the Mir Station. Based on experience gained in
developing and delivering the Mir units and progress in developing the
ISS units, KRUG Life Sciences is uniquely qualified to deliver and
certify this defibrillator and CMRS, modified to be compatible with
Shuttle mid-deck environment by March 1, 1998 in order to support the
Shuttle launch on April 2, 1998. See Numbered Note 26. RFP will be
released on or about 15 days after publication of this synopsis in the
CBD. Firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
