Potential cooperative research and development and licensing opportunity with LMITCO, the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). LMITCO has developed a magnetic latching valve which operates on pulse energy. Thus, only a pulse of energy is required to change the state resulting in less energy consumption. The targeted application would be agriculture irrigation, industrial and manufacturing settings. LMITCO is soliciting a written indication of interest from industry partners who would consider entering into cooperative research and licensing agreements. Participants will be expected to provide technical expertise and have financial and organizational structure to financially support the project and to participate in the commercialization of the technology.
