Potential cooperative research and development and licensing opportunity with LMITCO, the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). LMITCO has established a rapid butterfat detection method which can be used for real-time detection. Furthermore, the measurement has no impact on the sample and results in no waste stream. The targeted application would be larger dairies and dairy processors. LMITCO is soliciting a written indication of interest from industry partners who would consider entering into cooperative research and licensing agreements. Participants will be expected to provide technical expertise and have financial and organizational structure to financially support the project and to participate in the commercialization of the technology.
