Smith, Contracting Officer (919) 541-0635 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate sole source with Axent Technologies, Inc., 2240 Research Blvd., Suite 200, Rockville, MD 20850 for continued software maintenance services subject to the availability of FY-98 funds. The maintenance services for the software listed below includes usage rights, enhancements, correction of errors and omissions, and all updates necessary for synchronization in the NCC computing environmental. The Agency's requirement for maintenance support is for the following software modules: ESM UNIX, ESM NETWARE, ESM VMS. EPA believes Axent Technologies, Inc. is the only vendor capable of satisfying the software maintenance requirements stated above. The period of performance is expected to be from October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. No Solicitation is available. All interested parties must respond within 15 days of the date of this announcement. Interested vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the requirements outline above and; 2) provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible.
