Jean Borowski,407/380-4261 The U.S. Army Simulation, Training, and
Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) is currently planning an acquisition
for non-personal support services covering all of the functional
activities (e.g., Engineering, Logisitics, Acquisition, Legal, Program
Management, etc.) performed by STRICOM, except those that are
considered inherently Government functions. LAN Maintenance functions
will not be included in this acquisition. STRICOM Regulation 10-1,
which is being made available to all interested parties, describes the
organizations, missions, and functions performed by STRICOM. The
Standard Industrial Code for this acquisition is 8711, and the small
business standard size is $20 million. It is contemplated that the
contract will begin on date of award, continue through the end of the
fiscal year, and contain 5 option years. Special Non-Disclosure
statements and Conflict of Interest clauses are anticipated. It is also
contemplated that prospective offerors possess a sufficient clearance
level to maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
capable of storing classified data. The solicitation is planned for
release in November 1997. To provide industry with a better
understanding of STRICOM, documents pertaining to the STRICOM daily
operations are available on the STRICOM Home Page, internet address

"Procurement", then scroll down to "Solicitations, then select
Supporting Documentation." The following documents are available: 1),
STRICOM Regulation 10-1 (STRICOM Organizations, Missions, and
Functions); 2) STRICOM's Government Concept of Operations (Specifically
for Electronic Commerce Technology); 3) STRICOM Service Contract
Working Group (Listing of tasks that are inherently Government
functions). After reviewing the STRICOM 10-1, the STRICOM Government
Concept of Operations, and the STRICOM Service Contract Working Group
list, submit to the point of contact below any information, such as
commercial brochures, price lists, etc., which can be used to evaluate
your ability to perform all the functions of STRICOM. Responses should
include any information which demonstrates that these support services
are available in the commercial market. The information contained
