Officer This announcement represents a sources sought Request for
Information (RFI) issued by the Office of the Comptroller of the
Currency (OCC). OCC is considering contracting out all copy related
functions and services in its headquarters location. The OCC is
interested in obtaining information from companies with experience in
analyzing an organization's current copy center services and offering
alternative cost effective solutions. The OCC headquarters is located
at 250 E, St., SW, Washington, DC 20219. There are approximately
900-950 staff working at the OCC headquarters. Workdays are Monday
through Friday, excluding Government Holidays. The Contractor would
provide all equipment, maintenance, supplies and personnel necessary to
efficiently meet all headquarters copy needs. The OCC's goal is to
reduce self-service copying by OCC employees and shift the workload to
a manned copy center or offsite location if feasible. The OCC
currently has forty-three (43) self-service copiers located throughout
the nine-story building, and four (4) additional copiers in the Main
Copy Center located on the first floor. All forty-seven (47) copiers
are owned by the OCC and consist of various manufacturers and models,
including eleven (11) Canon, thirteen (13) Kodak, three (3) OCE, and
twenty (20) Xerox. The number of copiers provided and locations of the
copiers would be determined by the Contractor subject to the OCC's
approval. The method and timing of disposal of OCC-owned copy equipment
has not been determined. Contractors are encouraged to propose options
for how existing equipment could be utilized. The OCC currently has
two (2) full-time employees who handle the copy related services. The
individuals perform the following functions: Operate copiers in the
Main Copy Center, Order and maintain inventory of paper and other
copier supplies, Maintain records, Receive and process copy requests,
Check and replenish paper supplies and toner, Check equipment for
proper operation, Fix minor problems, Contact vendors for repair
ofmachines when necessary. Information submitted by interested
Contractors should include an explanation of the various approaches
that may be utilized for providing copy center functions and services,
typical turn around times for jobs, the proposed methodology for
providing equipment, maintenance, supplies and personnel to perform the
services, and a description of the company's previous experience in
offering copy related services. Contractors should indicate what their
size status is under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code
7334, Photocopying and Duplicating Services. The current size standard
for SIC code 7334 is $5.0 million. The information gathered from this
RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a
solicitation for proposals. It is not to be construed as a commitment
by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any
information provided in response to this RFI. Interested Contractors
should respond in writing to the individual and address listed above.
