Description of Work: Construct a new one-story free standing Bioenvironmental Engineering/Public Health Facility of approximately 700 square meters in support of the Air Force's mission at McGuire AFB. The facility is largely administrative in nature with some laboratory functions provided. The facility will be constructed with structural steel framing. The roof will be of the standing seam metal type constructed over a metal deck. The deck will be supported by trusses constructed ofcold formed metal shapes. The floors are reinforce concrete slab on grade. Foundations systems are column spread footings with continuous strip wall footings. Exterior walls are masonry cavity walls constructed of metal studs with brick facing. Interior partitions will generally be constructed of metal studs with gypsum board facing or CMU. The buildings will contain its own boiler and auxiliaries and will be furnished with new HVAC systems, domestic hot and cold water, and plumbing. The facility will: be fully sprinklered (wet pipe system hydraulically designed); be furnished with electric power and lighting throughout; be wired for telephone and Local Area Network Systems. Site utilities, sidewalks, bituminous paved roads and parking, grading, storm drainage, landscaping, etc. are also included in the scope of these projects. The Contractor will also be required to file or make application for (i) Burlington County Soil Conservation District Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan Certification, (ii) State of New Jersey Request for Authorization Form for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Construction Activity (RFA) for the construction activities that will take place under this project. The prospective bidders will be invited to visit the building site prior to submitting his proposal. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Completion date is 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement. The SIC CODE for this project is 1542.
