Pierce, Contract Specialist, (919) 541-0184; Barbara Stearrett, Contracting Officer E-MAIL: Click here to contact the Contract Specialist via e-mail., pierce.diane@epamail.epa.gov. The Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate a sole source requirement with SRA Technologies, Inc., 8110 Gatehouse Road, West Tower, Suite 600, Falls Church, VA 22042, for workshop support for the Border 21 Initiative Pediatric Epidemiology Workshop. This workshop will be held in the El Paso, TX area during the December 1997 time frame. The contractor will be required to: establish a meeting place for the workshop; identify, contact and make travel arrangements for guest speakers who are experts in the areas outlined in the overall objectives addressed below; assemble or develop supporting materials needed for discussion (including bibliography and pertinent papers); develop an agenda; distribute supporting materials to workshop participants; and prepare a draft and final report reflecting the views of the scientific experts. A draft report generated from the workshop will be due no later than January 11, 1998. The final report will be due no later than January 25, 1998. The overall objectives of the workshop are (1) Review of methods available to assess toxicity in young children in the following disciplines: Neurotoxicology, immunotoxicology, child development, and pulmonary and cancer endpoints; (2) Issues in the design and conduct of health studies on children and pesticide exposure along the U.S. Mexican border. EPA believes SRA Technologies, Inc. is the only vendor capable of satisfying the requirements stated above as plans for the workshop were begun under an existing contract with SRA Technologies, Inc. which will end on September 30, 1997. SRA Technologies, Inc. has identified and contacted approximately 20 speakers who will participate in the workshop, set the meeting dates, drafted the agenda and negotiated hotel arrangements for this workshop. The period of performance for this simplified acquisition is expected to be from October 1, 1997 through January 25, 1998. No solicitation is available. Interested vendors shall (1) include information on the proposed services, including the services which SRA has already completed, which clearly supports the requirements outlined above and; (2) provide pricing information that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. Submit a response to the U.S. EPA, Attn: Diane L. Pierce, (MD-33), Contracts Management Division, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711 within 15 days. No telephone requests will be honored. (0255)
