B -- VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING UAV FLIGHT TEST DEMONSTRATION SOL N00019-97-R-0023 POC Amy Timmerman (301) 757-5910/ Contract Specialist As detailed in Synopsis Solicitation N00019-97-R-0023 released on 22 July 1997, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Joint Project Office (JPO) intends to conduct a full and open competition to execute a Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) UAV Flight Test Demonstration. The purpose of this effort is to assess the prospective VTOL UAV's capabilities. The plan is to award one or more cost type contracts. It is the intention of the UAV JPO to release a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) on or about 01 October 1997 with a proposal deadline thirty days after release. In addition, questions and comments previously provided to this office will be posted on the NAVAIR web site, in question and answer format, prior to release of the BAA. All acquisition documentation can and will be found on the NAVAIR web site at http://www.navair.navy.mil/. No hard copies will be provided.
