COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 16,1997 PSA#1931ISRAEL: REVISION OF OFFICIAL ISRAELI STANDARD SI 1104 "VINYL CHLORIDE
MONOMER IN PVC PACKAGES AND PACKAGED PRODUCTS"; PROPOSAL FOR THE
OFFICIAL STATUS OF THE REVISED STANDARD. The following notification is
being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.417.
1. Member to Agreement notifying: ISRAEL. If applicable, name of local
government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible:
Ministry of Industry and Trade of the State of Israel. Agency or
authority designated to handle comments regarding the notification can
be indicated if different from above. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2,
5.6.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise
national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where
applicable): PVC for packages HS 39.23; ICS 55.040. 5. Title, number of
pages and language(s) of the notified document: Revision of Official
Israeli Standard SI 1104 "Vinyl Chloride Monomer in PVC Packages and
Packaged Products", (2 pages in Hebrew). Proposal for the Official
Status of the Revised Standard (1 page in Hebrew). 6. Description of
content: Revision of SI 1104 issued by the Standards Institution of
Israel -- Allowed content of vinyl chloride monomer in PVC packages for
foodstuffs, cosmetics and drugs, test methods. References to the
following European Directives: 80/76/EEC, 81/432/EEC, 93/8/EEC. SI 1104
has been Official under previous Notice of the Minister of Industry and
Trade published in the Official Gazette, Section of Government Notices,
#3757, April 1990. The revised Standard is proposed to be official. 7.

will be published in the Official Gazette, Section of Government
Notices, when adopted. 9. Proposed date of adoption: Not before 26
October 1997; Proposed date of entry into force: 1998. 10. Final date
