result in one or more indefinite quantity contracts for repair and
alteration projects that contain known lead. A project will consist of
lead removal, including all materials, equipment, and supervision
necessary for any project in the area. The location of the projects
will be in southern New Jersey and the State of Delaware. You must be
licensed in these states in order to be eligible for consideration. The
package will be available on Monday, September 15, 1997 at a cost of
$50.00 per package, non-refundable. Make checks/money orders payble to:
U.S.P.S., Disbursing Officer, referencing RFP #232098-97-A-0170. Do not

Facilities Service Office, PO Box 701, Columbia, MD 21045-0701 (street

21044-3505). Offeror must have a minimum of three (3) years experience
as a General Contractor. Contractors must also possess the
capabilities of working at least two to four jobs at the same time.
Specific work orders will be issued by the Contracting Officer in
accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. The period
of time for this contract will be two (2) years. The contract limit
will be $3,000,000. Work order limit is $250,000. The initial bonding
limit will be $250,000 and will be increased by modification of
increments of $250,000 as agreed upon by the contractor and the
contracting officer up to the maximum of $3,000,000. Offerors will be
required to submit one (1) "multiplier" to be applied to the various
unit prices established in the "Unit Price Schedule". The multiplier
must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all
othe contingencies. No allowances for such items will be made after
contract awad. Proposals will not be publicly opened. The number of
offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one
offer, or relative standing of the offer will not be disclosed to
anyone except those postal personnel whose official duties requires
such information until award of the contract is made. The Postal
