Z -- MAINTENANCE DREDGING, 41- AND 43-FOOT PROJECT, TAMPA HARBOR, FLORIDA SOL DACW17-97-B-0026 DUE 110497 POC Contract Specialist Kathie Duke (904) 232-3713 (Site Code DACW17) The project base bid work consists of removing shoals along Cut-A station 53+00 to Cut-C station 30+00 and Cut-C from station 190+00 to station 341+77.61, to a required depth of 43 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth and along Cut-D to a required depth of 41 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth. In addition, the base bid item contains work to repair portions of the dike and weirs in the upland disposal area CMDA-2D. The project contains two optional bid items, one to remove shoals along Port Sutton Channel and Turning basin and another to remove shoals along East Bay Channel and Turning Basin, both to a required depth of 43 feet plus 2 feet allowable overdepth. Total amount of material to be dredged in approximately 1,042,000 cubic yards in the Base Bid Item and approximately 232,000 cubic yards and 124,000 cubic yards in Option Bid Items I and II, respectively. All dredged material will be placed in the designated upland disposal area CMDA-2D located an average of 2 miles from the project site. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.
