MACK (706) 545-2219 (Site Code DABT10) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. Solicitation No. DABT10-97-Q-0398 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3537 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Requirement is for John Deere Compact Tractor Model 855, Diesel,4 x 4, heavy duty all purpose (HDAP) tires, three (3) each, with the following items: Front and Rear custom mounted Pintle Hitch, 5,000 lb capacity; 42 lb front weights (installed), six (6) each. Service Support Pack shall consist of: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Oil Filters, 3 each; OEM Fuel Filters, three (3) each; OEM Hydraulic Oil Filters, three (3) each; OEM Inner Air Filters, three (3) each; OEM Outer Air Filters, 3 each; OEM (+50) Engine Oil, 15 quarts; OEM Hydraulic Oil, five (5) gallons, and Flat Tire Preventative (installed), four (4) each. Contractor shall provide the standard commercial warranty. Delivery is required not later than 1 Nov 97. F.O.B. Destination, Fort Benning, GA. Delivery is to be made to Supply Warehouse, Building 224, Fort Benning, GA 31905. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS-COMMERCIAL, applies to this acquisition. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed-price purchase order. Other than Full and Open Competition based on sole source. Intended source: John Deere. A completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS, must be included with offer.
