Z -- UPGRADE COOLING TOWER SOL 544-004-98 DUE 103097 POC Contract Specialist, Virgil Thompson, (803) 695-6783 The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, tools, labor, equipment, permits, license, testing, certifications and supervision as required to install a nominal 1,000 ton cooling tower and all associated piping, pumps, electrical power wiring, controls, etc. as shown on the drawings and specified in the contract documents to "Upgrade Cooling Tower", Project 544-97-103, located at the Veterans Medical Center in Columbia, SC 29209-1639. Cooling Tower shall be installed atop a concrete basin and sump with two vertical turbine condenser water pumps. New condenser water piping to/from cooling tower is to be connected to existing condenser water piping serving main mechanical room located in Building 100. In addition, Contractor shall provide all piping, materials, etc. as required to connect existing cooling tower sand filter to new cooling tower. Estimated dollar value of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Estimated issue date is 9/29/97. Estimated bid opening date is 10/30/97. Drawings and specifications will be available on or about 9/29/97 at a cost of $30.00 per set (Non-Refundable) Cashier's/Certified check or money order only.
