pollution monitors would be procured: single channel, sequential,
portable audit samplers, and speciation monitors. It is anticipated
that the solicitation will be issued on or around October 30, 1997, and
that proposals will be due approximately 30 days later. A preproposal
conference will be held in the Research Triangle Park area
approximately one week after the solicitation is issued. The exact time

amendments. EPA anticipates the award of multiple indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contracts under which fixed priced
delivery orders will be issued as a result of the solicitation.
Contract award is planned for March 31, 1998. It is currently planned
that the contracts will have a five year ordering period. The maximum
number of monitors to be procured across all awarded contracts during
the five year period is as follows: single channel (1095), sequential
(1755), portable audit sampler (605) and speciation (565). Multiple
contracts will be awarded for each of the monitor types. It is
currently anticipated that approximately five single channel, four
sequential, five portable audit sampler and three speciation monitor
contracts will be awarded. SIC No. 3829 applies; size standard of 500
employees. This requirement is being conducted as a partial small
business set-aside. This requirement represents a continued requirement
of the following purchase orders (which were awarded June 23, 1997) for
First Article Units and designation packages of two of the four types
of monitors required under this procurement: 1) 7D-0594-NTLX and
