It is the intent of the CECOM Acquisition Center -- Washington to issue a DRAFT RFP for comments relating to the system integration of the Mine Hunter/Killer Demonstrator. The Mine Hunter/Killer system will be able to detect mines and UXO at a standoff and focus neutralization energy on each individual explosive device while moving to provide maximum mine neutralization efficiency at maximum tempo. The system must also be safe, supportable, affordable, and sufficiently small so that it could be adapted to a wide variety of existing combat vehicles. The system integrator will be required to integrate the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) subsystems, including the host vehicle, mine detection subsystem, neutralization subsystem, fire control subsystem, marking subsystem, and teleoperation control system, into the Mine Hunter/Killer (MH/K) demonstrator. The Draft RFP number DAAB07-98-R-6002 will only be available on the CECOM Acquisition Center's Washington Operations Office's Electronic Bulletin Board. No hard copies will be provided. The RFP should be available on or about 30 September 1997 for downloading from the website, located at 128.190.157.78.
