This acquisition is for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for the Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) of the Second Generation Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI) Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) Systems. Specifically, this acquisition will procure all the necessary updates to the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR), Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC), Provisioning Requirements (LSA-036), technical publications, and packaging developmental data. Furthermore, this acquisition will procure supply support, Defense Logistic Service Center (DLSC) prescreening, provisioning and Parts Master File maintenance as well as other ILS related functions. Negotiations with Hughes Aircraft Company (HAC), Electro-Optical Systems, El Segundo, California, the co-developer and current manufacturer of the Second Generation HTI FLIR, are anticipated. Firm Fixed Price (FFP) line items shall be added to the HAC FFP LRIP contract for a one year basic period of performance with four one year option periods. Contractaward is projected for January 1998 and a draft statement of work is anticipated for release in October 1997. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
