The RxOBOT has the following unique features that are not available in the commercial market: 1) bar code driven/robotics automation; 2) unit dose packaging; 3) envelope filling system using bar codes; 4) inventory ordering; 5) scanning system; 6) inpatient dispensing. The VA Palo Alto Health Care System intends to contract with Automated Healthcare, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for this system.
