Y -- RE-ROOFING LAS VEGAS MCCARREN ATCT, LAS VEGAS, NV SOL DTFA08-97-R-05159 POC Cynthia Alatorre The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Western-Pacific Region, under the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS), publicly announces its intention to contract to replace the re-roofing system of the base building at the Las Vegas (LAS) ATCT, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation and materials, that are proposed to be used to successfully replace the existing roofing system. Work shall include but is not limited to: removal of existing roof, waterproofing, asbestos abatement of mastic, installation of a insulation system and roofing system and other associated work. All work shall be in strict accordance with all OSHA and local and federal regulations as well as all FAA regulation. The estimated dollar range for this procurement is between $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. The SIC for this procurement is 1761. Since this is an emergency under the flood recovery project, the FAA currently has five (5) pre-qualified sources that it intends to solicit for this procurement. No additional sources are being sought at this time. The solicitation will be issued on or about 9/17/97 with responses due 9 calendar days after the actual date is issued. Award will be based on the Best Value to the FAA giving due consideration to: (1) total cost to the FAA, (2) Past Performance/Experience for the same or similar work, and (3) financial and bonding capability. This following notice BELOW is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000.
