59 -- TELESCOPING MAST ASSEMBLIES FOR SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS POC Lupe Saenz or John Olney, 956-717-4269 INS has requirements for 2 or more Telescoping Mast Assemblies, for installation in the bed of a pickup truck, below protective folding doors covering the bed, capable of fulfilling INS' Mobile LORIS 445-L Infrared Camera operations. Item must meet the following requirements: Overall length of mast (with camera and pan & tilt attached) must not exceed 90" in the stowed position. The measurement is taken from the bottom of the mast pivot housing to the top of the sun shield of the LORIS camera. The length of the camera and pan & tilt is 23". Overall height of the mast, in the stowed position, must not exceed 12" from the pallet floor. The mast must operate on 12 volts D.C., on less than 20 Amps. Payload capacity must be at least 90 lbs. The mast must have ram capabilities and be able to extend up to 15 feet. The pneumatic system must be able to lift 90 lbs. to a height of 15 feet in less that 60 seconds with 20 lbs. of air pressure. The mast must have a hand-held control with a minimum of 25'of cable to allow the operator ease of control. The mast must have a switch to prevent the apparatus from being stowed when not in the proper position. The mast must have a High-Voltage detection system to prevent contact with high voltage power lines. The mast must have automatic-stow feature to provide convenience when stowing the system. The system must be weather-proof. The wind capacity of the system in its fully extended/erected position must be at least 65 mph. The outside diameter of the bottom mast section must be no less than 4" and the topmost section must be 2.5" or greater. The mast must incorporate a Nycoil capable of housing both the pan & tilt cable and the LORIS 445L camera cable with connectors terminating both ends of the cable (cables are each 5/8" round). INS has identified one example of a suitable product to meet this requirement; Model NS-1500BK, "Night Scan 15" masts, manufactured by Will-Burt Mast Manufacturing, Orrville, Ohio, PH #330-684-5214.
