Sutherlin, Contracting Officer, 910/432-2146 This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract on a Sole Source basis with Irvin Industries Canada LTD, 479 Central Avenue, Fort Erie, Ontario L2A5M9, Canada for the repair of FF2 Automatic Opening Devices (AODs) used on the MC-4 parachute system (not to exceed 20 FF2 AODs per month for a period of 6 months with one 6-month option period) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining the need for a competitive procurement requirement.
