This requirement is to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform non personal, on site engineering support for the in house research and development (R&D) programs of Wright Laboratory, Flight Control Division, located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base OH. The anticipated period of performance is 1 Apr 98 -- 30 Sep 98. Four one-year options are contemplated. The contractor will be required to provide the personnel for on site support services to supplement the R&D activities and programs being conducted in, using, or requiring the capabilities of WL/FIG facilities. The facilities used to conduct the R&D programs of WL/FIG include but are not limited to: the Unmanned Research Vehicle (URV) Facility, the Control Systems Architecture Facility, the Actuation Development Facility, and the Flight Management Facility. For a more detailed description of this requirement refer to the sources sought synopsis issued in the Commerce Business Daily on approximately 4 Jun 97. This solicitation will be issued electronically approximately 8-14 Oct 97. It will be posted on the Air Force's Preaward Information Exchange System (PIXS) at web site http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/. Interested parties should still FAX or e-mail a request to the issuing office so that they can be added to the source list. All interested parties will receive the PIXS library web site for this solicitation when it has been established and documents have been posted. Once the solicitation has been posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for updates to any and all documents. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
