S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SLOLE SOURCE CONTARACT TO MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY. Notice of intent to issue a sole source contract to Montana State University (MSU). The Natl Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is involved in a joint project with the MSU investigating seabirds in the Antarctic marine ecosystem. Research currently being funded by the AMLR Program and by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NSF provides funding for travel, housing, and partial labor costs for two biologists to conduct work in the Antarctic. No other source can provide this service due to the remote location and participation by other interested agencies. Contract period will be for one year for period 10/97 -- 9/98. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
