S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AWARD TO ALDEN ELECTRONICS. Notice of intent to issue a sole-source contract award with Alden Electronics, Inc. Proposed contractor will provide ZFX Facsimile Service for the Seattle-Tacoma, Portland, and San Francisco International Airports. Proposed contract will be for a five-month period from 10/1/97 through 2/28/98. Proposed contract will be issued on an interim basis only until the National WEather Service (NWS) implements a National NWS Flight Folder Contract at the subject locations. Alden Electronics currently has all necessary equipment, supplies, and personnel to provide required service. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
