This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) number DACW51-97-Q-0027. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The Standard Industrial Classification Number is 5045 and the Business Size Standard is 100 employees. This acquisition will be procured on an unrestricted basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1c for authorized MicroSoft dealers. Delivery is FOB Destination to NANLMO, NYD US Army Corps of Engineers, 26 Federal Plaza, Attention: Room 1800, New York, NY 10278-0090. Include your best delivery schedule with your quotation. Items offered under the terms of a Federal Supply Schedule contract shall be so stated to include GSA contract number and terms. DESCRIPTION: Line Item 0001 is for 700 user licenses for MS Office 97 Suite, Professional Edition with Bookshelf & Access (Price must include upgrades to the New York District Army Corps of Engineers through 30 March 1999, thereby keeping the systems of the COE current until that time). Include unit and total prices for the licenses. Line Item 0002 is for shipping/handling for Line Item 0001. Price should be in one lump sum, or if shipping/handling is included in the price of Line Item 0001, the quotation should so state. FAR provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, with the following addenda: Per FAR 12.603[b] the SF 1449 is not used. Paragraph [c], Period of acceptance of offers -- Offerors agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 30 days. At a minimum, quotations must include: the quotation number, the time specified in the request for quotation for receipt of offers, the name,address, and telephone number of the offeror, a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements of the request for quotation, terms of any express warranty, price and any discount terms, "Remit To" address, if different than the mailing address, a completed copy of the representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3, and inclusion of a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions included in the request for quotation.
