to modify IBM's (Contract No. 102590-96-B-3023) and NCR's (Contract No.
102590-96-B-2966) Point of Service One contracts to include the
Customer Service Terminal. 2. The modification will only include the
Customer Service Terminal market test. 3. NCR and IBM will design,
develop, and deploy the Customer Service Terminal utilize the Point of
Service One software which both contractors are currently developing
for the Postal Service. 4. The estimate cost of this effort is $7.5
million (combined) and will include an estimated 40 Customer Service
Terminal units. 5. If the market test is successful the Postal Service
will reassess its acquisition strategy and announce its production
intentions in the Commerce Business Daily. 6. Any questions concerning
