E-MAIL: NIST Contracts Office, Contract@nist.gov. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a need for services to perform proficiency testing of motors. The Proficiency Testing Contractor (PTC) shall: (A) procure the test motors and associated instrumentation and materials, including installation of identification plates and tamper proof seals and inspection of motors and thermocouples for proper operation; (B) arrange for packing and shipping of motors to the testing laboratories; (C)provide laboratories with instructions, data sheets, and procedures for: damage inspection, initial testing, and proficiency testing; (D) compile and evaluate motor efficiency testing data and submit draft report (Tech Brief) to the Government; and (E) store and periodically inspect and maintain motors; after 5 years, or as directed, return motors to NIST. The period of performance for this acquisition is for one year, effective from the date of contract award, with options to renew the contract for four (4) additional periods of one (1) year each.
