Tarr, 202-395-7666 The Executive Office of the President intends purchase maintenance of the equipment listed below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as Request for Quotes No. EOPOA-97-15. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The requirement is for the maintenance of the following equipment (number of each machine model is in parenthesis): A) -- Facsimile machines: Xerox 7020 (25), Xerox 7021 (4), Xerox 7024 (25), Xerox 7032 (1), Xerox 7033 (9), Xerox 7033A (1), Xerox 7042 (10) Xerox 7042EM (11), Xerox 3006 (5), Xerox/Centre 20 (1), Canon CFX-B38 (1), Canon 5500 (19), Canon L5500 (4), Canon L700 (4), Canon L770 (3), Canon L775 (2), Canon L790 (2), Canon 7500 (1), Cryptk 1090 (2), Cryptk Transcripio (1), Sharp FO-3450 (1), Panasonic UF-744 (6), Panasonic UF-788, Panasonic UF-550 (1), Panasonic UF-770 (1), Muratec F-86 (17), Muratec F-70 (2), Muratec F-76 (1), and, Muratec F120 (1); B) -- Typewriters: Quantity of estimated 150 machines including IBM Wheelwriter's, IBM Selectric II'S and III's, Canon AP250, and, Xerox Memory Writers. Include in quote five (5) price schedules: 1) monthly prices, 2) on-call/as needed prices, 3) pricing for having technician "on-site" or 4) with 2 hour response time, and, 5) excess copy charges (if applicable). Offer shall include product/service literature and past performance documentation in quote. Proposed prices should be valid for a minimum of 60 days. This is not an "all or nothing solicitation", partial quotes will be accepted. Multiple awards will be considered if most advantageous to the Government. Quantities may vary by plus or minus 10%. Vendors holding GSA schedules may quote 'both' GSA and open market if desired. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items -- (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i) price, ii) technical, and, iii) past performance; which are equal in importance. Offeror shall include a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and the Contractor Establishment Code (CEC) number with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
